California Attorney General Rob Bonta has canceled a scheduled settlement meeting with Paramount, halting negotiations tied to the company's proposed merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Bonta withdrew from the mediation session and pointed to what he described as a lack of good faith on the part of the company. In explaining his decision, he said Paramount was "playing games" during the negotiations.
